Welcome to our comprehensive exploration of the Fire-Heart system within the framework of MTA. The Fire-Heart system is central to understanding circulation and the blood system. Acupuncture has shown effectiveness in addressing various heart conditions. For example, acupuncture applied to the PC6 point is noted for its efficacy in treating arrhythmias and chronic angina pectoris. Additionally, acupuncture plays a significant role in enhancing blood circulation. Within the MTA context, we explore philosophies and techniques related to the functions of blood vessels, circulation, and heat management. A notable and effective MTA strategy involves utilising Wood-Liver and Minister Fire points to aid blood circulation, alongside Earth-Spleen points to fortify the blood. This course offers an in-depth analysis of the Fire-Heart system’s physiology and pathology, including its interactions with other organs. Understanding these elements is crucial for effective treatment and is a key focus in our MTA curriculum.
